The Hiscox Expatriate Home Insurance policy is specifically designed for individuals and families moving abroad for professional reasons. It provides you with the peace of mind that your possessions are insured on an all-risks basis, and that in the event of a claim you will have the support of Hiscox, the leading specialist insurer.
The Hiscox Expatriate Home Insurance policy is available to corporate expatriates of any nationality. We are able to offer cover in most countries although there are some exceptions, such as the USA and countries under trading sanctions.
Broad and flexible cover
We offer wide cover and have a practical approach to make it easy for you to choose the best cover for your needs. Some of the benefits of our policy are:
- Worldwide all-risk cover for all your belongings, including for children at school or university, or when you are on holiday.
- Broad cover for higher value items. For example, fine art and antiques are automatically covered within your sum insured – we don’t require individual values. Watches or jewellery only need to be individually listed if their value is greater than US$2,000 (€1,500/£1,000).
- US$2,000,000 (€1,5m/£1m) of liability cover as standard
- Items kept in commercial storage locations are automatically covered up to 20% of your amount insured
- Identity Fraud and Emergency Travel (should you need to return to your home to mitigate the outcome of a claim) are automatically included
