Due to the specialist nature of many of our products and services, it is important to us that our brokers have a high degree of expertise, market knowledge and an excellent reputation. If you are interested in becoming an agent you will need to be financially stable and professional. All UK intermediaries we work with must be authorised by the FSA..

Hiscox has two main insurance operations:

• Hiscox Syndicates Limited (HSL) – is a Lloyd’s syndicate operating worldwide and handles areas of risks where expertise and brains make a difference. These include kidnap and ransom, political risk, marine, energy, non-marine property, aerospace, reinsurance, fine art, high value household, as well as professional indemnities for the technology and media industries.
  
  
• Hiscox Insurance Company Limited (HIC) - specialises in the insurance of High Net Worth individuals and professionals based primarily in the UK and Europe.

A separate agency agreement is required for each operating company and will vary depending on the business to be introduced. Business introduced to HSL can only be placed by approved Lloyd's brokers.
