SRP family cover


SRP (Special Risk Protection) is a policy designed for private families, individuals and small groups of shareholders (+ families) of privately owned companies.  It operates on a named person basis and also provides cover for those temporarily engaged for the sole purpose of negotiating and/or delivering a ransom.

Summary of cover following an incident of kidnap, extortion, detention or hijack:

* The policy limit applies to each component of the cover. Unless otherwise stated, limits are per insured event and in the aggregate. Reinstatements are also available.
** Unless otherwise stated, the standard personal accident limits apply of $100,000 per person, $500,000 per insured event
*** Rest and rehabilitation sub limited to $12,000 per insured event and in the annual aggregate

Prospective purchasers of insurance must when seeking new or renewal insurance disclose any information which might influence the insurer in deciding whether to accept the risk and in setting the terms or premiums. Failure to do so may entitle the insurer to declare the insurance void from inception and to reject any claim.
